after the death of the main character?

After Pablo Escobar death in season 2 of Narcos, who was the main character of the series (sorry, for the spoiler!), there were some concerns of how to promote season 3 which focused mostly on Cali Cartel (Mexican Cartel). What’s more, how to be locally relevant in the topic of drug trafficking.
The solution was to compare Cali Cartel achievements to Polish mafia and create educational story around Polish history form the 90s. One of the biggest gang affairs of those times was alcohol affair with huge illegal import of alcohol to Poland. People involved in illegal alcohol business derived from Polish government, Polish special forces etc. This was the beginning of Polish gang environment, which compared to Cali Cartel was unimpressive.

Video educates viewers about the beginnings of Polish Mafia. There were two gangs: one from Wołomin and one from Pruszków. A gang from Wołomin specialised in importing illegal alcohol when a gang from Pruszków rather focused on importing cocaine. There are some voices that Pruszków was one of important smuggling points in Eastern Europe for Cali Cartel.

Video educates viewers about the scale of Polish Mafia and Cali Cartel. Infographics presenting the numbers gives an idea of the scale of drug trafficking, crime and wealth of mafia.
